I’m a sucker for something sweet now and then. As a vegan I have experimented and devised some healthy, nutritious, and yummy desserts, which I am excited to be sharing with you.
I remember over a year ago watching this ad for the ‘Chia Pod’ on TV with Kelly Slater (surfer, professional athlete). I had been doing some research into chia seeds and their nutritional benefits, when this ad popped up. I remember thinking how easy it would be for people to make this at home. As food is our only physical sustenance, we require it to live, grow and stay healthy. I take a great deal of care in knowing about the food I consume. This recipe is super easy.
You might not know this, but the chia plant is actually a herb, it forms part of the Salvia family (sage, mint etc.) and is grown primarily for its seeds. Which is an incredible food source...
